What a Mule's offer depends on
Mule hour reading
Hours come first. Turn the key and photograph the reading on the dash.
Diesel or petrol Mule
Farm buyers tend to want a diesel 4010 or Pro-DX. Hours and condition still count for more than fuel.
Trans Cab seats and bulkhead
On a Pro-FXT or Pro-DXT the bulkhead and rear seat should slide between 3-seat and 6-seat modes. Seized in one? Tell us.
Mule cab and windscreen
Doors add most, especially before winter. A roof and screen help, provided the screen isn't crazed.
Mule bed floor and catch
Rot in the bed floor or a worn tipping catch matters more than scraped sides.
Older Mule 4WD and rear diff
These tire first on older Mules. Tell us whether both engage.
A 3010 from the 2000s still has a buyer
Age doesn't stop us. Kawasaki has built the Mule since 1988. Plenty of 2510s and 3010s still earn their keep on UK farms, and the 4010 only took over from the 3010 for 2009, so many of the full-size Mules we're offered are well past 15 years old.
Four questions decide an older Mule's price. Does it start? Does it drive both ways? Does 4WD engage? Are the bed and chassis solid? A 3010 diesel that passes all four is worth real money, and one that fails still has some. Noisy clutch? Weeping radiator? We price it in.
Sat in a barn since the last harvest? We buy non-running UTVs and quads, and the winch loads it.
Pro-FXT and Pro-DXT: the crew cab that turns into a pickup
The FXT and DXT carry Kawasaki's Trans Cab. Slide the rear seat and bulkhead forward for a 3-seater with a long bed, or back for 6 seats and a short one. Shoots and big estates love it: guns and beaters one day, fence posts the next.
So the conversion is part of the price. We'll ask whether the bulkhead slides and locks. And does the rear seat fold? One that converts cleanly is worth noticeably more than one that's stuck.
No plate on the Mule? Bring the invoice
Few farm Mules were ever registered. We buy them on the original invoice or a dealer receipt, and a plated one needs its V5C in your name. On every Mule we check your ID, then find the frame number on the chassis and match it to your documents before paying. No invoice? The supplying dealer's records or an old finance letter can help.
What's my Mule worth?
Hours come first. After those it's the model and year, plus whether it runs on diesel. The going rate for similar Mules at the time matters too. A low-hours Pro-DXT with a cab sits at the top. A hard-used petrol 3010 with a rotten bed sits at the bottom, and it still gets an offer.
For your own figure, send us the Mule's details with a picture of the hour meter. If it matches your description, the price stands. If something differs we'll show you. You're free to say no, and it costs you nothing.
Selling more than a Mule?
Plenty of farms run a Mule beside a quad. We buy Kawasaki quads from Brute Force to KFX, and can load both from the same yard on one visit. We buy the Mule's rivals too. The Pro-DX's closest match is the diesel Gator XUV 865M, and there's a page for every John Deere Gator as well as one for the Polaris Ranger. Or see every UTV we buy. Farms across Kent are on our doorstep, and we collect a Mule from wherever it's parked, free.

Selling a Kawasaki Mule: your questions
Is my old Mule 3010 worth selling?
Yes. An older 3010 or 4010 that starts and drives has a value, and one that doesn't still has some.
Does a diesel Mule fetch more than a petrol one?
Often, because farms want diesel. Hours and condition still matter more than fuel.
What should I check on a Pro-FXT or Pro-DXT crew cab?
That the rear seat folds and the bulkhead slides and locks. The conversion is part of the value.
Where's the frame number on a Mule?
Stamped on the chassis, in a spot that varies by model. Photograph it if you can find it, and we'll check it on collection either way.
Can you collect a Mule from a farm yard?
We come to wherever it's parked on the farm, free of charge.
