Mostly town, so mostly e-bikes. A Sur-Ron Light Bee is typical. So is a Talaria Sting. Now and then a Talaria XXX or a Stark Varg turns up. Often the owner has worked out there's nowhere nearby to ride it legally.

Garages and back gardens round the town hold plenty of kids' and sports quads that haven't turned a wheel in a year or two. Flat battery and perished tyres? We still buy it.

Paddock quads and compact UTVs near Longfield

Down the Darent valley and round Longfield the houses give way to horse paddocks and smallholdings. Quads and compact side-by-sides do the feed and water runs there.

Selling an e-dirt bike legally in Dartford

Most Sur-Ron, Talaria, Stark Varg and E Ride Pro models are not road legal. They're for private land with the landowner's permission, and tracks. We never suggest riding a non-road-legal bike on public roads.

Darenth Woods and police seizures

Off-road riding in Darenth Woods has drawn police attention before. In 2020 KentOnline reported Kent Police issuing Section 59 warnings and seizing bikes there and at Shorne Marshes. Since then the law has got tougher. From 29 June 2026, section 8 of the 2026 Crime and Policing Act removed the need for a warning before police seize a vehicle used anti-socially under the Police Reform Act, s.59. If a bike is sitting in a Dartford hallway because there's nowhere legal to ride, a proper sale makes sense. This is general information, not legal advice.

What we check on every Dartford e-bike

Photo ID first. Then proof you own the bike, which can be the receipt or the order email. We check the frame number against that proof and ask what's been modified. You're paid by bank transfer while the bike is still in your hallway.

Past Bluewater on the A2

The A2 runs along the south of the town past Bluewater. The A282 and M25 junctions 1a to 2 are on the west side, by the Dartford Crossing. The A225 heads south down the Darent valley towards Sutton-at-Hone, and the A296 runs east from Dartford towards Bean.
